A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a man's mind can get both provocation and privacy. Edward P. Morgan

Every year, when summer rolls around, the first thing I think about are all the books I want to read. There's usually a large list, and usually, only a few books on that list actually get read.
^^entering the one above^^
But still, one of my favorite things to do in the summer is walk down the shelves in the library, observing every book that looks good, picking the really good ones, and taking them home. I find myself a nice place to sit - a couch, a chair, or a blanket on the grass in the shade. And I read and read and read. I read about people who become my friends. I imagine myself in places that become real. I learn things that I don't know I'm learning until after the book is returned to its shelf. I read because I get a glimpse of a different world. I get to let my imagination run wild.
So, dears, what books are you reading this summer?
Beautiful pictures, Olivia!
